"Unlocking the Secret Garden: The remarkable Benefits of Rosemary Essential Oil"

Essential Oils series.

Rosemary essential oil has been used for centuries for its medicinal properties. It is derived from the leaves of the rosemary plant and is known for its woody, evergreen scent. In recent years, rosemary essential oil has gained popularity due to its potential health benefits and versatility.

According to article published in International Therapist (www.FHT.org.uk) searches for rosemary essential oil skyrocketed by 135% over past year - interest generated by TikTok and according to Fresha the hastag #rosemaryoil has totalled 1.3 billion views.

Better be safe then sorry:

  1. Dilute the oil: Rosemary essential oil should always be diluted with a carrier oil before applying it to the skin. A good rule of thumb is to use 1-2 drops of rosemary oil per teaspoon of carrier oil

  2. Perform a patch test: Before using rosemary essential oil on your skin, perform a patch test to make sure you’re not allergic or sensitive to it. Apply a small amount of diluted oil to your inner arm and wait 24 hours to see if any irritation occurs

  3. Avoid using during pregnancy: Pregnant women should avoid using rosemary essential oil as it may cause contractions and lead to miscarriage.

  4. Do not ingest: Rosemary essential oil should not be ingested as it can be toxic in large amounts.

  5. Consult with a doctor: If you have any medical conditions or are taking medication, consult with your doctor before using rosemary essential oil.

In conclusion, rosemary essential oil has gained popularity in recent years due to its potential health benefits. While more research is needed to fully understand its effects, current studies suggest that it may help improve cognitive function, ease symptoms of anxiety and depression, protect the liver from damage, and promote hair growth.
